Clean Energy Would Make Mideast Wars Unnecessary

The Iran War highlights the risks of a world dep;endent on oil and gas. The best outcome would be for it to motivate the transition to clean energy. The Trump Administration has asked Congress for $200B to fund that war. Instead of spending $200 billion on this senseless war, we could construct 30 large offshore wind farms and 100,000 solar farms. This would generate enough electrical power for 15 cities the size of Chicago. Then, not only would there be less atmospheric pollution, but destructive wars over oil and gas would be much less likely
