Don’t Get CONNED By A SOLAR SALESPERSON

The solar business is very lucrative and solar salespeople can be very aggressive in trying to sell you rooftop solar for your home. Be particularly wary about a sales pitch that sounds too good to be true. Make sure to get 2 or 3 competitive estimates and try to get referrals from friends, neighbors or other people you know. Ask for references from satisfied customers and contact them to see how satisfied they are with their installation. 

Before you make a decision, get written warranties on equipment and written guarantees from the solar installer. Consider various ways of financing the installation. If you can find a way to finance it yourself, that may be better than the financing option offered by the solar installer.
